On 22 Apr 04 Deputy Sheriffs Brown and Brockmeier
investigated a domestic dispute reported by Jasmine L. Hupp,
age 20, 3245 Dixon Ridge Road, Lowell. Mrs. Hupp stated during
an argument her husband Randall, age 22, put her in a headlock
and she was forced to hit him to gain release. As a result,
Mr. Hupp was arrested for domestic violence and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
On 22 Apr 04 Cynthia Parks, age 34, 845 County
House Lane, Marietta, reported an acquaintance may have stolen,
forged and cashed several of her checks since 15 Apr 04. This
case remains under investigation (1291).
On 22 Apr 04 Sgt. Hiatt was dispatched to the
Whipple Tavern, 6675 State Route 821, Whipple, after a patron
reportedly stated she wanted to harm herself. Upon his arrival,
an intoxicated Kimberly Louise Knight, age 37, 411 Cumberland
Street Apt. B, Caldwell, was visibly upset and again stated
she desired to hurt herself. Sgt. Hiatt arrested Ms. Knight
for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported her to
the Washington County Jail.
On 22 Apr 04 an employee at Warren High School
reported a fourteen year old male student has threatened and
is defiant toward teachers, fails to conform to school rules
and is generally unruly. This case remains under investigation
(200).
On 22 Apr 04 an employee of B & N Coal Company
reported an unknown suspect(s) entered the company’s property
on State Route 821 south of Macksburg, cut the lock off a gate
and stole: a 50,000 btu heater, an oil pump bucket, a 5/8”
heater hose, twenty six cans of starter fluid, two hundred oil
tubes and a shovel. This case remains under investigation (1291).
On 22 Apr 04 Donna Malcolm, age 66, 6886 State
Route 821, Whipple, reported the presence of unsightly items,
including junk cars, a burn pit and trash, along her walking
route on Kohl Road. This case remains under investigation (1291).
On 22 Apr 04 Deputy Sheriff Jenkins issued a citation
to a sixteen year old Marietta youth for failing to stop at
a stop sign while he turned from the Warren Elementary School
exit onto State Route 550.
On 22 Apr 04 Lt. Wilson stopped Matthew W. Owens,
age 23, Pennsylvania Avenue Apt. 12, Marietta, on Market Street
for operating with expired tags. A computer check showed Mr.
Owens’ license was suspended in West Virginia, ergo, Lt.
Wilson issued a citation to Mr. Owens for driving under suspension.

Baxter L. Grimes, age 27, last known address 817
Grandview Avenue, New Matamoras, for purposely breaking or attempting
to break detention, as charged by Deputy Sheriff Brockmeier
on 10 Apr 04.
Charles D. Hemingway, 408 Cross Road, Belpre,
for a fourth degree felony count of domestic violence, as charged
by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole on 18 Apr 04.
Joshua A. Kidd, age 23, 221 Sheldon Avenue, Marietta,
for criminal trespassing, as charged by Deputy Sheriff Huck
on 24 Feb 04.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Randall Lee Hupp, age 22, 3245 Dixon Ridge Road,
Lowell, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Hupp was arrested
on Dixon Ridge Road by Deputy Sheriff Brown of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 22 Apr 04 at 3:23 pm.
Kimberly Louise Knight, age 37, 411 Cumberland
Street Apt. B, Caldwell, for disorderly conduct by intoxication,
a misdemeanor. Knight was arrested at the Whipple Tavern by
Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Apr 04 at 6:50
pm.
Crystal June Brown, age 25, 1 Cumberland Street
Apt. 1, Caldwell, for OVI and failure to signal, both misdemeanors.
Brown was arrested in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Apr 04 at
11:42 pm.
