On 20 Apr 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested and issued a citation to Stacy Renee Thompson, age 23, 840 Pike Street Apt. 40, for driving under suspension. Knowing she had a suspended license from previous contact with Ms. Thompson, Deputy Mankins stopped Ms. Thompson after he observed her drive into Sierra Apartments and exit her vehicle to retrieve her mail.

On 20 Apr 04 an employee at the Washington County Juvenile Center reported a fifteen year old male ran away from the Center at 2:30 pm. The juvenile was apprehended a short time later and returned to the facility (1184).

On 20 Apr 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins initiated a traffic stop on Putnam Street after he observed the driver of a vehicle fail to stop at a flashing red light. In speaking with the driver, Curtis Clayton Lamp, age 40, 26935 State Route 7, Marietta, Deputy Mankins detected a strong odor of alcohol and requested Mr. Lamp perform a field sobriety test. After performing poorly on the tests Mr. Lamp was arrested for OVI and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 20 Apr 04 a Marietta woman reported her twelve year old daughter refuses to listen, fails to complete household chores and is generally unruly. This case remains under investigation (945).

On 20 Apr 04 Deputy Sheriff Eddy responded to a report from Julia Jones, age 50, 301 State Route 555, after Ms. Jones informed dispatchers an unknown intoxicated man was urinating on her porch. Deputy Eddy located a man matching Ms. Jones’ description and questioned the suspect. Ralph Daniel Jeffrey II, age 33, 966 State Route 555, Little Hocking, admitted urinating on the porch, was arrested for pubic indecency and disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 20 Apr 04 Randall L. Hughes, age 47, 11305 State Route 26, Marietta, reported his neighbor confronted him for allegedly throwing rocks toward his house while mowing an adjacent neighbor’s lawn. This case remains under investigation (1291).

Jessica Strode, age 19, 1541/2 Putnam Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct;

Jacob C. Strode, age 21, 56 Ullman Street, Beverly, for disorderly conduct by intoxication;

Rocky D. Huck, age 22, 20330 State Route 60, Beverly, for criminal damaging and for disorderly conduct by intoxication;

Deputy Spencer filed the affidavits succeeding an altercation between the three at the Duke and Duchess in Lowell on 15 Apr 04.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Mary J. Bowman, age 56, 629 Phillips Street, Marietta, for failing to appear at a Debtor’s Exam on 26 Mar 04.

Jason A. Harguess, age 33, 2367 Moody Ridge Road, Vincent, for three counts of passing bad checks, as charged by Deputy Sheriff Tornes on 12 Jun 03.

Jeramie F. Vitale, age 27, 63 Deerfield Drive, Madison, OH, for failing to appear at a Debtor’s Exam on 26 Mar 04.

Martha R. Wells, age 39, 505 Fort Street, Marietta, for failing to appear at a Debtor’s Exam on 26 Mar 04.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Anthony Paul Thompson, age 37, Wyatt Street, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Thompson was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Apr 04 at 4:20 pm.

Stacy Renee Thompson, age 23, 840 Pike Street Apt. 40, for driving under suspension, a misdemeanor. Thompson was arrested on Pike Street by Deputy Sheriff Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Apr 04 at 7:45 pm.

Ralph Daniel Jeffrey II, age 33, 966 State Route 555, Little Hocking, for pubic indecency and disorderly conduct by intoxication, both misdemeanors. Jeffrey was arrested on State Route 555 by Deputy Sheriff Eddy of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Apr 04 at 8:50 pm.
