On 15 Apr 04 Deputy Sheriff Brown issued a citation
to Jason E. Luaggy, age 18, 4410 Stout Road, Beverly, for having
a fictitious registration. Deputy Brown stopped Mr. Luaggy at
the intersection of State Route 821 and County Road 11.
On 15 Apr 04 Lt. Canavan and Deputy Sheriff Brown
were dispatched to the Lane’s Farm Campground on State
Route 26 to check the welfare of a man seen laying by a car.
Paul L. Domine, age 36, was highly intoxicated and refused treatment
from an emergency squad. While being arrested for disorderly
conduct, Mr. Domine became combative and was forced to the ground
by Lt. Canavan to secure custody. Deputy Brown added a charge
of resisting arrest to Mr. Domine and transported him to the
Washington County Jail.
On 15 Apr 04 Julie Scultheis, age 39, 765 Schau
Road, Lowell, reported her twenty two year old son was involved
in a physical altercation at the Duke Station in Lowell. A brawl
ensued after her son was reviled by a female and her brother.
The dispute reached a crescendo when the twenty two year old
noticed a scratch his mother sustained while interrupting the
fight, which resulted in her son throwing his fist through the
car window of his assailant. This case remains under investigation
(232).
On 15 Apr 04 Kathy A. Roser, age 50, 1207 Lynch
Church Road, Marietta, reported an expired license plate she
lost two years ago was issued two parking tickets at Marietta
College unbeknownst to her. This case remains under investigation
(232).
On 15 Apr 04 Carol L. Bailey, age 42, 16040 State
Route 550, Fleming, reported an unknown suspect(s) damage the
interior of a rental property she owns at 1235 Bethel Road,
Marietta. This case remains under investigation (602).
On 15 Apr 04 Michael A. Siders, age 23, an inmate at the Washington
County Jail reported another inmate in the jail struck him in
the forearm with a closed fist. After an investigation Deputy
Sheriff Rhodes charged Timothy R. Higginbotham, age 28, 542
Apple Street, New Martinsville, WV, for disorderly conduct.
On 15 Apr 04 an employee of Aqua-Tech Environmental
Inc, reported an unknown suspects removed the lock of a pump
truck parked a Solvay on State Route 7 and stole $7,400 worth
of equipment including a foot pedal, a double deadman lance,
a gauge board, a toolbox and an employee gear bag. This case
is under investigation (698).
On 15 Apr 04 Lt. Canavan investigated a deer-vehicle
collision on US 50, near State Route 618. Timothy A. Selby,
age 43, 1671 Lindlow Heights, Pomeroy, was eastbound on US 50
when he struck a deer with his Plymouth Breeze, causing moderate
damage to the passenger side fender and door.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Dirk L. Speakman, age 27, 30 East Scioto Street,
Orient, OH, for contempt for failing to appear on an order to
show cause.
Shawna S. Wise, age 20, 26127 State Route 7 Lot
6, Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear on an order
to show cause.
John W. Dearing, age 25, 12786 State Route 7,
Waterford, for failure to appear for a jury trial after being
released on bond pending trial on charges of rape and gross
sexual imposition.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Baxter Lee Grimes, age 27, 817 Grandview Avenue,
New Matamoras, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony.
Grimes was arrested in Marietta by Probation Officer Smith and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Apr 04 at 11:10
am.
Paul Leon Domine, age 36, Marietta, for resisting
arrest and disorderly conduct by intoxication, both misdemeanors.
Domine was arrested on State Route 26 by Deputy Sheriff Brown
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 15 Apr 04 at 11:15 am.
