On 11 Apr 04 Deputy Sheriff Eddy initiated a traffic
stop on State Route 60 near Witten Farm after observing the
driver of a vehicle swerving in his lane of travel. The driver,
Nathaniel T. Long, age 25, 735 Derby Road, Waterford, had a
strong odor of alcohol about his person and performed poorly
on field sobriety tests. Based on his observations Deputy Eddy
arrested Mr. Long for OVI and transported him to the Washington
County Jail and released on a personal recognizance bond.
On 11 Apr 04 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes initiated a
traffic stop near mile post seven on State Route 60 after observing
the driver of a vehicle swerving in her lane of travel. The
driver, Catherine A. Stegner, age 39, 225 Third Street, Lowell,
had a strong odor of alcohol about his person and performed
poorly on field sobriety tests. Based on his observations Deputy
Rhodes arrested Ms. Stegner for OVI and transported her to the
Washington County Jail.
On 11 Apr 04 Tammy M. Wunderlich, age 34, 18155
State Route 339, Waterford, reported she had an argument with
Christopher S. Miller, age 33, 50 Flint Run Road, Waterford,
at her house and Mr. Miller refused to leave until the Sheriff’s
Office was called. Highly intoxicated, Mr. Miller reappeared
at 4:30 am and again refused to leave. When Deputy Sheriff Evans
arrived he arrested Mr. Miller for criminal trespassing and
disorderly conduct and transported him to the Washington County
Jail.
On 11 Apr 04 Connie M. Waguespack, age 32, 70
Heeter Road, Newport, reported she believed her nephew was unduly
disciplined while visiting the home of an acquaintance. The
fifteen year old contradicted his aunt’s claims stating
he was not injured. This case is closed as unfounded (296).
On 11 Apr 04 Ruby M. Buffington, age 22, 29250
State Route 7, Marietta, reported her live-in boyfriend grabbed
her by the arms and called her a name. Determining Ms. Buffington
was not assaulted nor in fear for her safety, Sgt. Hiatt closed
this case as unfounded.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Catherine Anne Stegner, age 39, 225 Third Street,
Lowell, for .08 breath OVI, a misdemeanor. Stegner was arrested
on State Route 60 by Deputy Sheriff Norman of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 11 Apr 04 at 2:00 am.
Nathanael Timothy Long, age 25, 735 Derby Road,
Waterford, for OVI and driving left of center, both misdemeanors.
Long was arrested on State Route 60 by Deputy Sheriff Eddy of
the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 11 Apr 04 at 3:20 am.
Christopher Scott Miller, age 33, 50 Flint Run
Road, Waterford, for criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct
by intoxication, both misdemeanors. Miller was arrested in Waterford
by Deputy Sheriff Evans of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Apr
04 at 5:06 am.
Rodney Michael Johnson, age 18, 678 Walsh Road,
for driving under suspension, speeding and possession of drugs,
all misdemeanors. Johnson was arrested on State Route 550 by
the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 11 Apr 04 at 2:40 pm.
