On 31 Mar 04 an employee at the Washington County
Juvenile Center reported that during the routine search of a
resident, she found a small surgical blade the 16 year old juvenile
admitted stealing while he visited the doctor at Marietta Health
Care Systems in Barlow. This case remains under investigation
(232).
On 31 Mar 04 Justin R. Shirley, age 22, 410 Cornerville Road,
Reno, reported after he returned his son to his estranged wife’s
home, his wife became enraged during an argument and proceeded
to kick and punch him several times. Deducing Mr. Shirley was
in fear for his safety, Deputy Sheriff Jenkins filed an affidavit
requesting a warrant for the arrest of Jackie Shirley, age 21,
537 Barnett Ridge Road, Vincent, for domestic violence.
On 31 Mar 04 a Vincent resident reported since
25 Mar he has been receiving harassing phone calls from an unknown
person in the early hours of the morning. This incident remains
under investigation (1090) (945).
On 31 Mar 04 Jill Flinn, age 29, 154 First Street
Apt. C, Vincent, reported an acquaintance assaulted her while
visiting her home the previous evening. This incident remains
under investigation (1090).
On 31 Mar 04 while investigating another incident,
Detective Warden observed a driver known to be under a suspended
license, operating a vehicle on County Road 9. After confirming
his assumption through a computer check, Detective Warden issued
a citation to Penny L. Jones, age 49, 1177 Millers Lane, Marietta,
for driving under suspension.
On 31 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole investigated
a single vehicle accident in the parking lot of the Little Hocking
Service Center, 251 Arrowhead Drive, Little Hocking. The driver
of a three-axle Mack truck exited the vehicle, neglecting to
set the parking brake, and the truck coasted backward and collided
with a gate and chain link fence. Damage to the fence was moderate
while the truck remained undamaged.
On 31 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Brown investigated
a single vehicle accident in the parking lot of the Duke and
Duchess on State Route 60 in Lowell. Kimberly A. Hager, age
33, 2004 Green Berry Road, Jefferson City, MD, was backing from
State Route 60 in an attempt to turn southbound onto State Route
60 when the tractor trailer she was driving struck four poles
and a fire hydrant, causing severe damage to the undercarriage
of the trailer. Ms. Hager left the scene but later returned
after she was informed she caused damage to the property.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Donald L. Edwards, age 32, 608 ½ East Main
Street, Pomeroy, OH, for possession of marijuana on 22 Mar 04.
Richard T. Waters, age 38, PO Box 231, Waterford,
for OVI and driving under suspension, as charged by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol on 29 Mar 04.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Aaron Christopher Goins, age 32, 22576 State Route
550, Amesville, OH, was arrested on Gilman Street by Patrolman
Surry of the Marietta City Police Department on the charge of
Violation of Protection Order, a misdemeanor. He was processed
into the County Jail on 30 Mar 04 at 1:40 AM.
Tammy Gail Sturm, age 35, 37321 State Route 145,
Lower Salem, for .08 breath OVI, driving left of center and
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines,
all misdemeanors. Sturm was arrested at the Seventh Street Speedway
by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 Mar 04 at
3:30 am.
Tony Cameron Hendrickson, age 34, 124 Walnut Street, Belpre,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Hendrickson
was arrested in Vincent by Sgt. Jobes of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 31 Mar 04 at 11:50 am.
Lynda Mae Reynolds, age 32, 207 10th Street, Lorain,
OH, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor.
Reynolds was picked up at the Lorain County Jail by Deputy Sheriff
Doak of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 31 Mar 04 at 3:00 pm.
Mark Clebert Reynolds, age 32, 207 10th Street,
Lorain, OH, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Reynolds was picked up at the Lorain County Jail by Deputy Sheriff
Doak of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 31 Mar 04 at 3:00 pm.
Robert Matthew Parrish, age 27, 310 Jones Run
Road, Rinard Mills, for a felony charge of failure to register
a change of address as a registered sex offender and a misdemeanor
charge of failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines. Parrish was arrested in Marietta by Detective Johnson
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 31 Mar 04 at 3:15 pm.
