On 24 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Eddy issued a citation
to Richard L. Mayle, age 57, PO Box 130, Bartlett, for traveling
37 mph in a 20 mph zone. Deputy Eddy stopped Mr. Mayle on State
Route 550 near Bartlett Elementary in Wesley Township.
On 24 Mar 04 Donald L. Nicholson, age 67, 118
Ohio Boulevard, Marietta, reported an unknown suspect(s) stole
a battery charger from his garage between 1 and 24 Mar 04. This
case remains under investigation (684).
On 24 Mar 04 Robert Tate, age 53, Calder Ridge
Road, Belpre, reported an acquaintance took a 1987 Buick Somerset
from his property without permission. This case remains under
investigation (586).
On 24 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Norman investigated
a single vehicle accident on Township Road 491, just north of
County Road 42. Steven M. Leonhart, age 27, 1862 Collins Road,
Whipple, was southbound on Township Road 491 when he lost control
of his Ford Ranger, ran off the right side of the road into
a ditch, causing the truck to roll over. The vehicle sustained
heave damage and Mr. Leonhart reported no injuries.
On 24 Mar 04 a Marietta woman reported her 12
year old son is growing increasingly violent and progressive
discipline has failed to deter his bad behavior. At the mother’s
request, Deputy Sheriff Huck filed an affidavit requesting a
summons for the juvenile for being unruly.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Michael James Siders, age 23, 913 Long Run Road,
Newport, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Siders turned himself in to Probation Officer Hamilton and was
processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Mar 04 at 2:26
pm.
Joseph Cheyenne Clark, age 21, 1507 4th Street,
Ironton, OH, for contributing to the unruliness or delinquency
of a child, a misdemeanor. Clark was picked up in Lawrence County
by Deputy Sheriff Underwood of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Mar
04 at 3:00 pm.
Jeremy Joseph Howell, age 28, 33822 Hopewell Ridge
Road, Wingett Run, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Howell
turned himself in at the Sheriff’s Office and was processed
into the Washington County Jail on 24 Mar 04 at 6:15 pm.
