On 15 Mar 04 Edith Eldridge, age 86, 5180 Oakhill Road, Stockport, reported an unknown suspect dumped trash, including plaster, on her property between 1 and 15 Mar. This case remains under investigation (695).

On 15 Mar 04 Bernard Hurst, age 51, 1200 Pike Street, Marietta, reported an individual is disposing of trash in a dumpster of his without permission. Mr. Hurst desired not to pursue charges (695).

On 15 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins initiated a traffic stop after he observed the driver of a vehicle fail to signal while changing lanes southbound on Seventh Street. Upon making contact with the driver, Ashlee A. Barcelli, age 19, 312 Third Street, Lowell, Deputy Mankins noticed a strong odor of alcohol. Ms. Barcelli admitted consuming one beer, failed nystagmus tests and was arrested for OVI, a probation violation, driving under suspension and failure to signal. The passenger in the vehicle, Eric John Wright, age 20, 102 Cornerstone Drive, Marietta, also admitted to consuming beer and was arrested for underage consumption. Both were subsequently transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 15 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Simmons filed an affidavit requesting a summons for Kenneth A. Casada Jr., age 21, 115 Longacre Street, Marietta, for an assault that occurred on 14 Mar 04.

On 15 Mar 04 an employee of the Washington County Highway Department reported a window on the cab of a Gradall parked at State Route 260 and County Road 138 was broken between 12 and 15 Mar. This case remains under investigation (1203).

On 15 Mar 04 Sgt. Underwood issued a citation to Peter V. Harris, age 43, 612 Second Street, Marietta, for traveling 61 mph in a 40 mph zone. Sgt. Underwood stopped Mr. Harris on State Route 7 near Township Road 591 in Warren Township.

On 15 Mar 04 Rosemarie Taylor, age 72, 504 Main Street, New Matamoras, reported between 6 Feb and 11 Mar, an unknown suspect opened a locked safe in her home and stole $202 worth of change and two dollar bills. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 15 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Spencer filed an affidavits requesting summonses for three Warren High School students for delinquency. Deputy Spencer filed the affidavit subsequent to an event on 23 Feb 04, during which the juveniles conspired to buy and sell “buzzballs, ladders, bars or blue footballs,” commonly known as Xanax.

On 15 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Spencer filed an affidavit requesting a summons for Justin R. Shirley, age 22, 410 Cornerville Road, Reno, for telecommunications harassment. Deputy Spencer filed the affidavit after Mr. Shirley repeatedly called his estranged wife after being asked not to do so.

On 15 Mar 04 a 35 year old Washington County resident reported she has been receiving harassing phone calls for the past five years. This case remains under investigation (232).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Eric John Wright, age 20, 102 Cornerstone Drive, Marietta, for underage consumption, a misdemeanor. Wright was arrested at McDonald’s on Pike Street by Deputy Sheriff Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Mar 04 at 3:55 am.

Ashley Ann Barcelli, age 19, 312 Third Street, Lowell, for violating the terms of her probation, OVI, driving under suspension and failure to signal, all misdemeanors. Barcelli was arrested at McDonald’s on Pike Street by Deputy Sheriff Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Mar 04 at 4:25 am.

William Logan Schofield, age 42, 2837 Blennerhassett Avenue, Belpre, for contempt of a court order and disorderly conduct by intoxication, both misdemeanors. Schofield was picked up in Nelsonville by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Mar 04 at 1:57 pm.

David William Long II, age 27, 960 Albright Road, Beverly, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Long turned himself in at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Mar 04 at 3:10 pm.

Shelly Lynn Carpenter, age 30, 111 Montgomery Street Lot 3, Marietta, for telephone harassment, a misdemeanor. Carpenter was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Mar 04 at 8:40 pm.

Mark Aaron McIntyre, age 22, 223 Broughton Avenue, Marietta, for assault and criminal damaging/endangering, both misdemeanors. McIntyre was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Mar 04 at 11:15 am.
