On 14 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Jenkins responded
to the report of the death of a 55 year old Vincent woman.
Foul play is not suspected, the death appears to be due to
natural causes.
On 14 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued a
citation to David W. Sonnefeld, age 46, 4 Laurelwood Estates,
Wheeling,
WV, for traveling 76 mph in a 60 mph zone.
Deputy Evans stopped Mr. Sonnefeld on State Route 7 near Drag
Strip Road in Belpre Township.
On 14 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Gherke filed an affidavit requesting
a warrant for Aaron C. Goins, age 32, 22576 State Route 550,
Amesville, OH, for recklessly violating the terms of a protection
order. Deputy Gherke filed the affidavit after an incident on
8 Mar 04, in which Mr. Goins repeatedly approached a residence
after being ordered not to do so.
On 14 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Norman filed an affidavit requesting
a warrant for Paulina Thomas, age 38, 410 Reynolds Run Road,
Newport, for telecommunications harassment.
Deputy Norman filed the affidavit after an incident on 7 Mar
04, in which Ms. Thomas telephoned an acquaintance several
times
after being asked not to do so.
On 14 Mar 04 Chadwick D. Lamp, age 20, PO Box 101, Newport,
reported an acquaintance assaulted him at Byer’s Exxon
in Reno. This case remains under investigation (1184).
On 14 Mar 04, while on patrol northbound on State Route 555,
Deputy Sheriff Mankins observed the driver of a vehicle fail
to signal as it turned. While initiating a traffic stop Deputy
Mankins observed the driver, Matthew W. Dowler, age 40, 843
Mayle Road, Cutler, moving about as if he were trying to hide
something. In making contact the driver admitted consuming a
can of beer, which he hid under the driver’s seat. Dispatch
informed Deputy Mankins that Mr. Dowler had outstanding warrants
for possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia and criminal trespassing.
Deputy Mankins arrested Mr. Dowler on his outstanding warrants
and for consuming in a vehicle and transported him to the Washington
County Jail.
On 14 Mar 04, after being apprehended by a bounty hunter and
turned over to the Washington County Jail, Troy V. Lemley, age
25, 1204 Latrobe Street, Parkersburg, was found to be in possession
of marijuana and rolling papers while being processed into the
jail. In addition to his arrest on a theft warrant, Deputy Sheriff
Norman also charged Mr. Lemley with possession of drugs and
of drug paraphernalia.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Bart Robertson, age 44, 840 ½ Grant
Street, Parkersburg, for criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor.
Robertson was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Hickey of the
Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 14 Mar 04 at 3:30 am.
Troy Vincent Lemley, age 25, 1204 Latrobe Street, Parkersburg,
for theft, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Lemley
was arrested at and processed into the Washington County Jail
by Deputy Sheriff Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office on 14 Mar 04 at 10:00 am.
David Ray Burwell, age 46, 1607 Hill Street, Apt. 2, Belpre,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
Burwell was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Heddelston
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 14 Mar 04 at 11:25 am.
Ryan Steven Stein, age 29, 1595 Eighth Street, Cuyahoga Falls,
OH, for driving under suspension and no seat belt. Stein was
arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Mar 04 at 1:42
pm.
Matthew William Dowler, age 40, for criminal trespassing, disorderly
conduct by intoxication and consuming in a vehicle, all misdemeanors.
Dowler was arrested in Bartlett by Deputy Sheriff Mankins of
the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 14 Mar 04 at 11:40 pm.
