On 11 Mar 04 Charles E. Thomas, age 34, 17977 State Route 26, Reno, reported seeing several suspicious individuals on his property without permission. This case remains under investigation (1291).

On 11 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Eddy was dispatched to the scene of a fire at 400 5 th Street, Lowell. The Lowell Volunteer Fire Department successfully extinguished the fire, the cause of which is not known at this time, but is not suspicious in nature.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Laura L. Bass, age 28, 2812 Beech Drive, Belpre, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $69.50. Bass was originally charged with criminal trespassing by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department.

Paula E. Brewer, age 50, 38321 State Route 7, Long Bottom, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $56. Brewer was originally charged with passing bad checks by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department.

Lawrence W. Duncan, age 51, PO Box 5094, Princeton, WV, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $155. Duncan was originally charged with operating without a license by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Elisha C. Kelly, age 19, 811 ½ #9 Belrock Avenue, Belpre, for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, as charged by Sgt. Davis of the Belpre City Police Department on 19 Aug 03.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Thomas Ira Valentine, age 22, 106 Riley Drive Apt. 1, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Valentine was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Ketelsen and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Mar 04 at 8:45 am.

Christopher Clay Caskin, age 23, 331 Muskingum Drive Apt. 3, Marietta, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Caskin was arrested by Detective Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Mar 04 at 10:40 am.

Steven Blaine Williams, age 39, PO Box 345, Little Hocking, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Williams was arrested at the Super 8 Motel by Patrolman Hilverding of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Mar 04 at 6:30 pm.
