On 7 Mar 04 Sandy Morgenstern, age 37, 817 Masonic Park Road Lot 2, Marietta, reported during the previous night, a “Next” brand, twenty inch, boys mountain bike was stolen from her yard. This case remains under investigation (597).

On 7 Mar 04 Jerry McCabe, age 52, 57 Hazlewood Road, Marietta, reported that overnight, an unknown suspect(s) damaged the lock of the rear door of his residence. This case remains under investigation (597).

On 7 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole issued a citation to Joshua D. Pittman, 48701 Headley Ridge, Beallsville, OH, for traveling 59 mph in a 40 mph zone while on State Route 7 near Bender Road in Warren Township.

On 7 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans investigated a hit-skip accident on 1765 Burnett Road. An unknown vehicle was traveling southbound on Burnett Road when it struck a mailbox and fled the scene. This incident remains under investigation.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

James Monroe Williams, age 43, 702 Tick Ridge Road, Vincent, OH was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol for Possession of Drugs and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, both misdemeanor charges. Williams was processed into the County Jail on 7 Mar 04 at 3:00 am.

William Richard Brown, age 48, 5 Putnam Place Apartments, Marietta, OH was arrested on Glendale Road by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department for Operating a Motor Vehicle while under the Influence and Left of Center, both misdemeanor charges. Brown was processed into the County Jail on 7 Mar 04 at 3:45 am.

Rick Dee Hines, age 42, 35072 County Road 76, Macksburg, OH was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Jobes of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Appear on Fines, a misdemeanor charge. Hines was processed into the County Jail on 7 Mar 04 at 11:20 am.

Kimberly Rae Hartshorn, age 41, 502B West Fourth Street, Williamstown, WV was arrested on Sealy Ridge Road by Deputy Sheriff Kapple of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for Probation Violation out of Marietta Municipal Court, a misdemeanor charge.
Hartshorn was processed into the County Jail on 7 Mar 04 at 1:05 PM.

Wendell Dean Weppler, age 59, 4096 Schoolhouse Road, Little Hocking, OH was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Evans of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for Probation Violation out of Marietta Municipal Court, a misdemeanor charge. Weppler was processed into the County Jail on 7 Mar 04 at 2:00 PM.

Evelyn Helen Sacks, age 34, 522 Phillips Street, Marietta, OH was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Underwood of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for Theft, a misdemeanor. Sacks was processed into the County Jail on 7 Mar 04 at 8:30 PM.
