On 5 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Norman investigated
a deer-vehicle accident on Lowell Hill Road, three miles east
of State Route 60. Debbie L. Hoge, age 43, 1074 Griffin Road,
Cutler, was driving her 1994 Oldsmobile Delta 88 eastbound
on
Lowell Hill Road when she struck a deer then collided with
a guardrail while attempting to negotiate a turn.
The vehicle sustained non-functional damage and Ms. Hoge reported
no injuries.
On 5 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Michael A. Ridenour, age 46, 865 Chestnut Street,
Parkersburg,
for failure to register a trailer.
Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Ridenour on Gravel Bank Road in
Warren Township.
On 5 Mar 04 an employee of Jan Tragdon Custom Cues, 954 Luke
Chute Road, Waterford, reported receiving a bad check in the
amount of $500 on 16 Dec 03. This case remains under investigation
(8411).
On 5 Mar 04 Beth Ann Oliver, age 26, 1455 East Branch Road,
Lowell, reported her dog escaped from her home and ran to her
ex-husband’s house, against whom she has a protection
order, and he refused to return the dog. This case remains under
investigation (187).
On 5 Mar 04 Tara L. Prince, age 19, 7305 State Route 26, Marietta,
reported when she attempted to open a new telephone account,
she found her social security number was being used unbeknownst
to her. This case remains under investigation (187).
On 5 Mar 04 Bernadette R. Brown, age 35, 2109 Bell Road, Barlow,
reported her estranged husband confronted her at Little Hocking
Elementary School and called her cell phone several times in
violation of a temporary protection order.
Deputy Sheriff Evans arrested Roger E. Brown II, age 46, 1011
Campus Drive Apt. 3, Belpre, for violating said order and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 5 Mar 04 Deputy Sheriff Spencer investigated an alleged
domestic dispute at 337 Wells Road, Waterford.
During an investigation the suspect and victim denied any problems
and making an emergency call.
This case is closed as unfounded.
On 5 Mar 04 an anonymous caller reported an unusual amount
of traffic around Heiss Hollow in Watertown.
Upon further observation, Deputy Sheriff Rhodes noticed a large
gathering of people near a shelter.
As he approached most of the crowd fled, save two males and
a female. In speaking with the suspects, they admitted to consuming
and being under the influence of alcohol despite being under
the age of 21.
Consequently, Deputy Rhodes arrested Christopher S. Russell,
age 20, Route 6 Box 338, Marietta, and Luke Beebe, age 18,

Arends Ridge Road, Marietta, for underage consumption and transported
them to the Washington County Jail where they were released
on personal recognizance bonds. Deputy Rhodes also filed an
affidavit requesting a summons for the 16-year-old female for
being delinquent.
On 5 Mar 04 Tabitha C. Wagner, age 19, 2430 Sandhill Road, Marietta,
reported being assaulted while visiting Colonial Terrace Apartments.
Ms. Wagner chose not to pursue charges (598).
On 5 Mar 04 Bernard Walsh, age 62, 1315 Salster Road, Fleming,
reported sometime between 14 Feb and 5 Mar, an unknown suspect(s)
removed the motor off a red Yard Machine tiller.
This case remains under investigation (1090).
On 5 Mar 04 a 15 year old Waterford High School student reported
an unknown suspect stole her purse during school on 5 Mar 04.
This case remains under investigation (1090).

Raymond E. Campbell, age 21, 502 Barclay Street
Apt. L, Belpre, for failing to appear to serve three days in
jail on 27 Feb 04. Campbell was originally charged with operating
without a license by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Jared L. Gillespie, age 30, 14403 State Route 676, Waterford,
for violating the terms of his probation.
Gillespie was originally charged with OVI by the Ohio State
Highway Patrol.
Joy B. Grimm, age 31, 1310 Dugan Road, Belpre, for contempt
for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines
in the sum of $218. Grimm was originally charged with operating
without a license by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
James L. Marinar, age 60, PO Box 387, Little Hocking, for violating
the terms of his probation and for failing to appear to serve
three days in jail on 11 Feb 04.
Marinar Grimm was originally charged with operating without
a license by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
William L. Schofield, age 42, 2837 Blennerhassett Avenue Lot
31, Belpre, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, as charged
by Deputy Sheriff Underwood on 12 Jan 04.
Yvonne M. Hicks, age 34, 845 County House Lane, Marietta, for
possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, as charged by Detective
Johnson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on 9
Feb 04.
Michael P. Waters, age 26, 52268 Mount Olive, Long Bottom,
for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing
on
unpaid fines in the sum of $55.
Grimm was originally charged with operating without a license
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Randall C. Wilson, age 46, 2288 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, for
failing to appear to serve three days in jail on 27 Feb 04.
Wilson was originally charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
Todd A. Sarver, age 30, PO Box Mill Street, Watertown, for
contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines
in the sum of $60.
Sarver was originally charged with possession of drugs by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Patricia M. Thornley, age 41, 1408 7 th Street, Parkersburg,
for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $190.
Thornley was originally charged with disorderly conduct by
Deputy Sheriff Willson.
Joseph A. Ward, age 19, 56 Lee Avenue Apt. F1, Newark, OH,
for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing
on
unpaid fines in the sum of $375.
Ward was originally charged with operating without a license
by Deputy Sheriff Simmons.
Travis L. Swiger, age 19, Route 3 Box 262, Parkersburg, for
violating the terms of his probation.
Swiger was originally charged with violating a protection order
by Patrolman Hively.
Ricky D. Mullins, age 43, 335 Chelsea Street, Delaware, OH,
for violating the terms of his probation.
Mullins was originally charged with OVI.
Walter R. Jaracauro, age 21, 715B Greene Street, Marietta, for
contributing to the unruliness or delinquency of a child.
William W. Summers, age 47, 708 Eighth Street, Marietta, for
contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jason Samuel Lucas, age 24, Route 83 Box 93, Ellenboro
WV, was arrested on State Route 26 by Trooper Skinner of the
Ohio State Highway Patrol for Driving under Suspension, a misdemeanor.
Lucas was processed into the County Jail on 5 Mar 04 at 1:25
am.
Roger Eugene Brown II, age 46, 1011 Campus Drive, Apartment
3, Belpre, OH, was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff
Evans of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for Violation
of a Protection Order, a misdemeanor charge. Brown was processed
into the County Jail on 5 Mar 04 at 12:40 PM.
Darlyn Louise Taylor, age 39, Route 39, Box 163, St. Mary’s,
WV, was arrested at Marietta Wal-Mart by Patrolman Newell of
the Marietta City Police Department for Theft, a misdemeanor
charge. Taylor was processed into the County Jail on 5 Mar 04
at 3:30 PM.
Thomas Morgan Pritchard, age 64, South Street, Apartment 4,
Akron, OH, was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol for Operating a Motor Vehicle while under the Influence,
Speed, and No Seatbelt, all misdemeanor charges. Pritchard was
processed into the County Jail on 5 Mar 04 at 6:45 PM.
