On 24 Feb 04 Harold V. Stewart, age 74, 1735 Green Hill Road,
Marietta, reported the license plates of his vehicle were
removed
while he was away for a few days in Columbus.
The plates were located in the possession of Mr. Stewart’s
son and returned (684).
On 24 Feb 04 the mother of a 16 year old Marietta youth left
for Columbus with his 16 year old friend without permission.
This case remains under investigation (500).
On 24 Feb 04 an employee of Irvine’s Camper Sales, 17
State Route 555, Little Hocking, reported an acquaintance used
a business credit card without permission and paid an Allegheny
Power bill and a Charter Communications bill. This case remains
under investigation (592).
On 24 Feb 04 a teacher at Warren High School, 130 Warrior Drive,
Vincent, reported two students were found to be in possession
of alcohol. This case remains under investigation (592).
On 24 Feb 04 an employee of Colonial Terrace reported an individual
was on the premises despite being served with a no-trespass
letter. A property patrol officer confirmed speaking with the
individual, therefore Deputy Sheriff Huck filed an affidavit
requesting a summons for Joshua A. Kidd, age 23, 221 Sheldon
Avenue, Marietta, for criminal trespassing.
On 24 Feb 04 a 16 year old Warren High School student reported
he was assaulted by another student after lunch.
This case remains under investigation (592).
On 24 Feb 04 Deputy Sheriff Eddy was dispatched to the Washington
County Jail to investigate a fight between to inmates. Through
his investigation, Deputy Eddy surmised that angry over the
loss of a card game, Timothy Steward, age 20, PO Box 7010, Chillicothe,
OH, punched Matthew Schwalback, age 18, 141 York Street, Circleville,
OH, who in turn, struck Mr. Steward. After failing to cease,
Correction Officer Toby finally ended the skirmish with the
use of pepper spray. As a result, Deputy Eddy charged Mr. Schwalback
and Mr. Steward with disorderly conduct by fighting.
On 24 Feb 04 Roger McDonald, age 52, 827 Darnold
Road, Vincent, reported finding two plastic bags of refuse in
his yard on 17 Feb 04. This case remains under investigation
(695).
On 24 Feb 04 a representative of the Reno Volunteer Fire Department
reported receiving a bad check in the amount of $60 during bingo
on 18 Dec 03. This case remains under investigation (8411).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Richard A. Hill, age 35, Pennock Trailer Court
Lot 20, Beverly, for contempt for failure to appear at a court
ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $166.
Hill was originally charged with operating without a license
by Deputy Sheriff Mankins.
Douglas E. Carpenter, age 21, 218 Oak Grove Road, Williamstown,
WV, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $523.
Carpenter was originally charged with disorderly conduct by
Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department.
Donna M. Neighbors, age 32, 146 Harmar Street, Marietta, for
passing a bad check in the amount of $26.05 on 29 Oct 03, as
charged by Deputy Sheriff Tornes.
David W. Wriston, age 19, 687 Wyncrest Drive, Marietta, for
underage consumption of alcohol, as charged by Deputy Sheriff
Spencer on 1 Feb 04.
Donald L. Arrendale, age 24, 285 West Virginia Avenue, Sebring,
OH, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $165.
Arrendale was originally charged with speeding.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Kurt Alan Lerch, age 32, 401 Lewis Point Drive,
Vincent, for theft, a misdemeanor.
Lerch turned himself in to Deputy Sheriff Stackpole of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington
County Jail on 24 Feb 04 at 11:50 am.
Christopher Lee Wright, age 24, PO Box 176, Glen Easton, WV,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Wright
was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail in Charleston,
WV by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 24 Feb 04 at 3:45 pm.
Jose Manuel Rivera, age 29, 917 Garfield Avenue, Marietta,
for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor.
Rivera was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Norman
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 24 Feb 04 at 6:15 pm.
