On 20 Feb 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Ronald G. Pollack, age 72, 17429 Beech Drive,
Chagrin Falls,
OH, for traveling 58 mph in a 40 mph zone.
Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Pollack on State Route 7 in Warren
Township.
On 20 Feb 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to George
R. Forbes, age 54, 224 Oakwood Street, Marietta, for traveling
58 mph in a 40 mph zone. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Forbes on
State Route 550 in Barlow Township.
On 20 Feb 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Alice
C. Nay, age 29, 303 Florence Street, Belpre, for traveling 54
mph in a 40 mph zone. Deputy Mankins stopped Ms. Nay on State
Route 7 in Warren Township.
On 20 Feb 04, after being summoned to Warren High School concerning
the behavior of her 15 year old son, a Vincent woman reported
she felt threatened by her son’s increasingly agitated
behavior. As a result, Deputy Sheriff Kapple took the juvenile
into custody and transported him to the Washington County Juvenile
Detention Center.
On 20 Feb 04 Delbert F. Bratcher, age 50, Route 2 Box 230, Cottage
Village, WV, reported a logging company he entered into a contract
with, began cutting in a non-designated area at 1463 Dragstrip
Road, Belpre. This case remains under investigation (1203).
On 20 Feb 04 a Vincent resident reported receiving unwanted
phone calls from a woman known to him.
This case remains under investigation (1090).
On 20 Feb 04, a 19 year old Marietta woman reported an acquaintance
allegedly gave her drugs without her knowledge. This case remains
under investigation (586).
On 20 Feb 04, Detective Schuck investigated an alleged report
of voyeurism.
An investigation concluded the claim was unfounded.
On 20 Feb 04 Jeffrey A. Augenstein, age 25, 75 BF Goodrich
Road, Marietta, reported several unknown suspects throwing
rocks allegedly
broke the windshield on his 1990 Plymouth.
This case remains under investigation (296).
On 20 Feb 04 Joey D. Walker, age 48, 115 Warrior Drive, Vincent,
reported between 18 and 20 Feb 04, an unknown suspect(s) removed
the rear license plate, number AE06ZP, from his 1987 Toyota
truck. This case remains under investigation (296).

Tamra S. Haring, age 37, 726 Luke Chute Road,
Waterford, for failure to register a dog, as charged by the
dog warden on 9 Jan 04.
Kurt Lerch, age 32, 5441 Veto Road, Vincent, for theft, as charged
by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole on 11 Apr 03, for stealing two loads
of gravel.
James E. Lowers, age 57, PO Box 79, Lowell, for failure to confine
or restrain a dog, as charged by the dog warden on 14 Jan 04.
Jose M. Rivera, age 29, 917 Garfield Avenue, Marietta, for passing
bad check in the amount of $17.20, as charged by Deputy Sheriff
Tornes on 15 Nov 03.
Melissa Warrener, age 23, 100 Alderman Street, Marietta, for
telephone harassment, as charged by Deputy Sheriff Norman on
20 Jan 04.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Marvin Dale Riffle Jr., age 31, 215 Court Street,
Harrisville, WV, for driving under suspension, a misdemeanor.
Riffle was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Feb
04 at 1:59 am.
Jonathan David Stalnaker, age 33, 294 Salster
Road, Marietta, for domestic violence and aggravated menacing,
both misdemeanors. Stalnaker turned himself in to Deputy Sheriff
Summers of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and
was processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Feb 04 at
7:53 am.
Barbara Sue Whitehair, age 60, Route 7 Box 34000, Sardis, OH,
for theft, a misdemeanor.
Whitehair was arrested at Food 4 Less by Patrolman Hearn of
the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington
County Jail on 20 Feb 04 at 10:08 pm.
David Frederick Hayhow, age 58, 6443 State Route 144, Coolville,
for OVI, a misdemeanor.
Hayhow arrested on County Road 51 by Lt. Wilson of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 20 Feb 04 at 11:55 pm.
