On 18 Feb 04 a representative of Dish Network reported a resident in Washington County is receiving a satellite signal illegally. This case remains under investigation (586).

On 18 Feb 04 Sky S. Sallee, age 31, 1221 ½ Washington Avenue, Parkersburg, WV, reported he was allegedly slapped by his wife while visiting 20890 State Route 676, Marietta. Evidence and witness statements could not corroborate the allegation; hence the case is closed as unfounded (1071).

On 18 Feb 04 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole issued a citation to Sherry Fox, age 33, 9 ½ West Wolf Avenue, Barberton, OH, 44203, for failure to register. Deputy Stackpole stopped Ms. Fox on Clement Avenue in Blennerhassett Township.

On 18 Feb 04 Deputy Sheriff Eddy was dispatched to the home of a Whipple resident after a father reported he was assaulted by his 16 year old son. The father stated his son refused to get out of bed and get ready for school and barricaded himself in his room. When the father finally gained entry, he suffered abrasions to his hand and his son put him in a headlock, in which he feigned chest pains to gain release. After throwing a cell phone and breaking a glass picture frame, the son fled the scene and was later located in an abandoned building nearby. Deputy Eddy took the juvenile into custody and transported him to the Washington County Juvenile Center.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Michael Alan Lightfritz, age 23, 717 Quarry Street, Marietta, for violating his parole, a felony. Lightfritz was arrested at the Four Seasons by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Feb 04 at 1:00 am.

Brent Allen Carpenter, age 27, 204 Franklin Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of contempt of a court order, two misdemeanor charges of contempt of a court order and misdemeanor charges of speeding and operating without a license. Carpenter turned himself into Deputy Sheriff Sears of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Feb 04 at 9:25 am.

Jamie Nichole Amos, age 19, 121 Walnut Street, Belpre, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing, a misdemeanor. Amos was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Morris of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Feb 04 at 12:10 pm.

Aaron Matthew Hess, age 25, 610 Warren Street, Marietta, for robbery, a felony. Hess was arrested at the Super 8 Motel by Detective Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Feb 04 at 12:50 pm.
