On 17 Feb 04 Martha Harris, age 71, 1067 Goddard
Road, Cutler, reported after being away from her home for two
months, she returned on 16 Feb to find her 100 pound propane
tank missing. This case remains under investigation (586).
On 17 Feb 04 an instructor at the Washington County Career
Center, 21740 State Route 676, reported finding in a locker,
a baggie
containing a pack of cigarettes, marijuana and a marijuana
pipe. Through the course of an investigation Deputy Sheriff
Eddy identified
a 17 year old male as the owner of the items and the juvenile
confessed to being the owner of the items.
As a result, Deputy Eddy filed an affidavit requesting a summons
for the juvenile for being delinquent.
On 17 Feb 04 Deputy Sheriff Norman issued a citation to John
M. Earley, age 34, 32104 Cochransville Road, New Matamoras,
for willful or wanton disregard of safety on highways.
Deputy Norman issued the citation on State Route 7 near milepost
39 in Newport Township after he observed Mr. Earley drive left
of center and at a speed exceeding the speed limit.
On 17 Feb 04 Christopher T. Osborne, age 31, 3435 Warren Chapel
Road, Marietta, reported an unknown suspect used his ATM card
to withdraw $145 from an ATM in Tel Aviv, Israel.
This case remains under investigation (1183).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Amber M. Crigger, age 18, 155 Warren Avenue,
Parkersburg, WV, for violating the terms of her probation by
failing to complete 48 hours of community service and failing
to pay court costs in the sum of $141.95. Crigger was originally
charged with underage possession of alcohol.
Gregory Alan Haas, age 42, Route 1 Box 111, Lowell, for contempt
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing. Haas was originally
charged with driving under the influence.
Justin L. Burke, age 22, 1705 Park Avenue, Parkersburg, WV,
for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing.
Burke was originally charged with driving under suspension and
no seat belt by the Ohio State Highway Patrol on 3 Jan 04.
Derek Douglas Oldfield, age 18, 123 Ward Street Lot 1, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation.
Oldfield was originally charged with underage consumption of
alcohol.
Jonathan Stalnaker, age 33, 294 Salster Road, Marietta, for
domestic violence and aggravated menacing, as charged by Deputy
Sheriff Norman on 15 Feb 04.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Matthew Bradley Cornell, age 19, 312 Scott Avenue,
Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Cornell was arrested at in Marietta Municipal Court by Probation
Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 17 Feb 04 at 9:25 am.
Devon Marie Browell, age 19, 215 Fifth Street, Marietta, for
a felony charge of being a fugitive from justice and a misdemeanor
charge of violating the terms of her probation.
Browell was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Probation
Officer Ketelsen and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 17 Feb 04 at 1:10 pm.
