On 8 Feb 04 Deputy Sheriff Norman responded to the report of the death of an 84 year old Cutler resident. Foul play is not suspected, the death appears to be due to natural causes.

On 8 Feb 04 Deputy Sheriffs Gherke and Norman were dispatched to the home of Jessica Wright, age 19, 485 Muskingum River Road, Marietta, concerning a domestic dispute with her boyfriend Matthew R. Jones, age 19, 815 Rhodes Road, Lowell. Ms. Wright stated Mr. Jones carried her and violently threw her out of his home after Ms. Wright rebuffed Mr. Jones’ incessant sexual advances. Ms. Wright slightly injured her pinky during the altercation, as a result Mr. Jones was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was given the option to post bond.

On 8 Feb 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Timothy Dunn, age 36, 606 Fourth Street, New Matamoras, for traveling 77 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Dunn on State Route 7 in Grandview Township.

On 8 Feb 04 Deputy Sheriff Winstanley came in contact with a 17 year old male visiting an inmate at the Washington County Jail. Deputy Winstanley noticed an odor of alcohol and after inquiring; the juvenile admitted consuming beer earlier that day. A further check concluded the juvenile had an outstanding warrant for delinquency.
Deputy Winstanley arrested and transported the juvenile to the Washington County Juvenile Detention Center pending his appearance in Juvenile Court.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Tony Cameron Hendrickson, age 34, 124 Walnut Street, Belpre, for a violation of his parole, a felony. Hendrickson was arrested on Main Street in Belpre by Probation Officer Gilchrist and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Feb 04 at 1:25 am.

Angela Jo Armstrong, age 40, 220 Sixth Street Apt. B, Marietta, for theft, a misdemeanor. Armstrong was arrested at the Locker Room in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Feb 04 at 2:15 am.

Jeffrey Wayne Allen, age 43, 1600 Hackney Road, Beverly, for OVI and driving left of center, both misdemeanors. Allen was arrested on State Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Feb 04 at 3:00 am.

Matthew Robert Jones, age 19, 815 Rhodes Road, Lowell, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Jones arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Feb 04 at 7:20 pm.
