On 31 Jan 04, Deputy Sheriff Brockmeier investigated
an accident between two vehicles on a private driveway at 779
Mount Tom Road. Jennifer R. Bruce, age 29, was exiting her driveway
with four passengers when her Ford Windstar was hit head on
by a GMC truck driven by William N. Harris, age 54, Route 1
Box 123Q State Route 7, Marietta, causing disabling damage to
the van. Mrs. Bruce’s passengers suffered no injuries,
however the deployment of the airbags on her van caused minor
injuries to Mrs. Bruce. Mr. Harris and his passenger were uninjured
and his truck sustained functional damage.
On 31 Jan 04 Deputies arrived at 555 Eyermann
Road, Belpre, to find the property’s resident, James
S. Campbell, age 34, intoxicated and threatening to shoot his
dog.
A witness stated Mr. Campbell wished to put the dog down for
biting his child several days prior. Mr. Campbell was arrested
for having weapons while intoxicated and transported him to
the Washington County Jail (1090) (1099) (586).
On 31 Jan 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins was dispatched to the home
of Brandy Riddle, age 22, 189 Fourth Street, Lowell, in reference
to a domestic dispute. Mrs. Riddle stated that her husband
Cheyenne,
age 23, appeared unexpectedly at her home in violation of a
protection order.
Further, Mrs. Riddle articulated her husband grabbed the collar
of her shirt and twisted it, causing her to fear for her safety.
As a result, Deputy Mankins arrested Mr. Riddle for domestic
violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 31 Jan 04 Mark Thomas, age 22, 400 Main Street Apt. 6, Waterford,
reported between 11:30 am and 3:30 pm on that day, an unknown
suspect(s) entered his home and stole a Remington 1100 shotgun,
a Winchester 1800 shotgun, a loaf of bread and a chicken patty.
This case remains under investigation (945).
On 31 Jan 04, an anonymous tip concerning underage drinking
precipitated the arrival of Deputy Mankins at 1470 Coal Run
Road. Upon his arrival Deputy Mankins observed two individuals
who appeared to be under 21.
The suspects, Joseph Waterman, age 20, 116 Pineview Circle,
Marietta, and Heather L. Meyers, age 18, 610 Montgomery Street,
Marietta, admitted consuming alcohol, were arrested and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
James Scott Campbell, age 34, 555 Eyermann Road,
Belpre, for using a weapon while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.
Campbell was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 31 Jan 04 at 5:35 am.
Shon Rona Gates, age 33, 29727 Huckleberry Road, Coolville,
for failure to appear at a hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor.
Gates was picked up at the Belpre Police Department by Deputy
Sheriff Malone of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 Jan 04 at
8:10 pm.
