On 10 Jan 04 Deputy Sheriff Malone investigated a hit-skip crash in the parking lot of the Coal Run Post Office at 9998 Coal Run Road. The unknown driver of a vehicle backed into a US Mail box in front of the Post Office then fled the scene. This incident remains under investigation.

On 10 Jan 04 David L. Bailey, age 72, 510 Welsh Road, Cutler, reported an unknown suspect shot and killed his eight year old Heeler dog. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 10 Jan 04 John J. Sparks, age 31, Lot 9 Harris Trailer Court, Newport, reported he left his home on 7 Jan at 1 pm and when he returned on 10 Jan he discovered an unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered his home and stole a Remington 870 Wingmaster shotgun, a 19 inch Samsung television, a Sony DVD player and two VCR’s.
This case remains under investigation (501).

On 10 Jan 04 the father of a twelve year old New Matamoras youth reported his son left the home at 11 am on 10 Jan and hasn’t returned. The juvenile returned five hours later of his own volition (597) (500).
