On 7 Jan 04 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole filed affidavits requesting summonses for two 15 year old Warren High School students for being unruly. The two males left the high school on 7 Jan without permission and refused to return.

On 7 Jan 04 an instructor at Warren High School, 130 Warrior Drive, Vincent, reported finding a marijuana joint on a student on 7 Jan. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 7 Jan 04 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole issued a minor misdemeanor citation to a sixteen year old Little Hocking male for possessing a quantity of marijuana less than 100 grams. The juvenile was also ordered to appear in juvenile court at a later date for this incident that transpired at Warren High School.

On 7 Jan 04 Lawrence A. Smith, age 61, 675 Smith Hill Road, Marietta, reported between 8 Dec 03 and 1 Jan 04 an unknown suspect(s) dumped old car seats, gas tanks and bags of refuse on his property. This case remains under investigation (669) (695).

On 7 Jan 04 Betty L. Myers, age 39, 1505 Brooks Road, Marietta, reported finding three bags of trash on Brooks Road on 17 Nov 03. This case remains under investigation (669) (695).

On 7 Jan 04 a representative of the Washington County Commissioners, 205 Putnam Street, Marietta, reported finding five bags of trash along County Road 12 near mile marker 2.5. This case remains under investigation (669) (695).

On 7 Jan 04 the manager of River Park Manor, 101 Evans Street, New Matamoras, reported an unknown individual entered the locked office and used the telephone. This case remains under investigation (792).

On 7 Jan 04 Jamie Chen, age 27, 103 Arrow Drive, Marietta, reported a tenant moved out of a property at 140 Oak Grove Lane and while doing so also took a set of Dodge Dakota tires Ms. Chen stored there. This case remains under investigation (792).

On 7 Jan 04 Lora McKnight, age 69, 1195 Braun Road, Belpre, reported an acquaintance stole a check from her purse, forged it in the amount of $500 and cashed it. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 7 Jan 04 an employee of Warren High School, 130 Warrior Rd, Vincent, reported two fifteen year old male students left school on 7 Jan and refused to return. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 7 Jan 04 Larry Moore, age 54, 480 Cross Road, Belpre, reported between 31 Jan 03 and 7 Jan 04 an unknown suspect(s) stole the following items from the back of his truck: two toolboxes, a Milwaukee cordless saws-all, a Dewalt cordless saws-all, a Milwaukee cordless drill and 100 feet of 10 gauge wire. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 7 Jan 04 the mother of a seventeen year old Cutler girl reported after filling with gas at Par Mar on State Route 339 in Barlow, an acquaintance of her daughter made obscene gestures toward and hit her daughter. This case remains under investigation (490).

On 7 Jan 04 Becky Gaughan, age 40, 2434 Oak Hill Road, Cutler, reported during a verbal altercation her brother punched her boyfriend. When Deputies arrived all parties indicated they resolved of their problems and wished not to pursue charges (200) (698).

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Michael D. Blind, age 25, Route 1 Box 448A, Belpre OH, for Breach of Recognizance. Blind was charged by the Marietta Municipal Court.

Douglas D. Starcher Jr., age 23, 15981 State Route 279, Oak Hill, OH, for Fleeing and Eluding, a misdemeanor. Starcher was charged by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Melody D. Gillespie, age 28, 14403 State Route 676, Waterford, OH, for Contempt. Gillespie was charged by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Justin A. Harris, age 21, 522 Phillips Street, Marietta, OH, for Domestic Violence and Violation of Temporary Protection Order. Harris was charged by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Tiffany Lynn Morrison, age 33, 733 Eighth Street, Marietta, OH, for Failure to Restrain Dog. Morrison was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Sears of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 07 Jan 04 at 1:15 pm.

Gerald Wayne Gary, age 29, 115 Dean Street, Marietta, OH, for Failure to Appear on Fines. Gary was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Mitchell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 07 Jan 04 at 9:15 pm.
