On 6 Jan 04 a Belpre woman reported her seventeen
year old son has been habitually skipping school and fails
to
inform her of his whereabouts for extended periods of time.
This case remains under investigation (1184).
On 6 Jan 04 Jim Higgins, age 64, 54 Maple Street, Newport,
reported he heard what sounded like ball bearings being shot
at his semi-trucks
parked near his home. Further investigation yielded no such
evidence.
This case is closed as unfounded (1291).
On 6 Jan 04 an employee of the Misty Blue, 3977 Cambridge Road,
Marietta, reported the estranged wife of the business’
owner came into the business, in violation of a temporary protection
order.
While in the business, Judith Rieser, age 51, Route 5 Box 135
County Road 16, Marietta, became hostile towards employees
and
attempted to take a checkbook and cash register receipts. As
a result Deputy Sheriff Willson filed an affidavit requesting
a warrant for Ms. Rieser for violation of a protection order,
a violation of Section 2919.27 of the Ohio Revised Code.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Roger Lee Ward Jr, age 25, 1225 Weppler Road,
Lowell, for a probation violation, a misdemeanor.
Ward was arrested on Gilman Street by Patrolman Linscott of
the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
County
Jail on 6 Jan 04 at 4:15 am.
