On 4 Jan 04 Deputy Sheriff Malone issued citations to William Gilliam, age 40, and Justin Tucker, age 21, both residents of the Washington County Jail, for disorderly conduct for fighting. Deputy Malone issued the citations subsequent to an investigation involving a fight between Mr. Gilliam and Mr. Tucker on 3 Jan 04.

On 4 Jan 04 Sgt. Hiatt issued a citation to Michelle L. Baker, age 33, 1209 Cisler Drive, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license. Sgt. Hiatt stopped Ms. Baker near the intersection of Pike and Wayne Streets after he observed the vehicle she was driving had two license plates.

On 4 Jan 04 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes filed an affidavit requesting a summons for Tony Hendrickson, age 34, 124 Walnut Street, Belpre, for violation of a court ordered protection order, a violation of Section 2919.27(A) of the Ohio Revised Code.

On 4 Jan 04 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes filed an affidavit requesting a summons for Sumner Mercer, age 88, 21284 State Route 676, Marietta, for allowing his cows remain at large at which time they damaged a neighbor’s yard; a violation of Section 957.02 of the Ohio Revised Code.

On 4 Dec 04 the Department of Children’s Services requested the assistance of the Sheriff’s Office in investigating an altercation that occurred between a 15 year old girl and her mother. This case remains under investigation (586).

On 4 Jan 04 an employee of B & J Carryout, State Route 7, Marietta, reported a vehicle drove off without paying for $10.49 of unleaded gasoline. This case remains under investigation (107).

On 4 Jan 04 Matt Reichardt, age 30, 398 Warren Chapel Road, Fleming, reported between 9 pm on 3 Jan and 9 am on 4 Jan an unknown suspect stole a 122 piece Craftsman tool set and a Devilbess air drill from his truck as well as a cell phone, wallet and purse from his wife’s Jeep. This case remains under investigation (500) (597).

On 4 Jan 04 Thomas Shank, age 43, 389 Cedar Ridge Road, Lowell, reported he was allegedly awakened and assaulted by two acquaintances who forcibly entered his home. This case remains under investigation (1203).

On 4 Jan 04 Deputy Sheriff Malone filed an affidavit requesting summonses for Christopher Miller, age 33, 4674 Veto Road, Vincent, and Michael Miller, age 35, 130 First Street, Vincent, for disorderly conduct by fighting. Deputy Malone filed the affidavit subsequent to a fight between the two on 31 Dec 03.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Michael Carl Bixby, age 31, 119 Hart Street, Apartment 6, Marietta, OH, for Violation of Protection Order and Domestic Violence, both misdemeanor charges. Bixby was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the County Jail on 04 Jan 04 at 5:39 pm.

Michelle Louise Baker, age 33, 1195 Branch Road, Lowell, OH, for Driving under FRA Suspension, a misdemeanor. Baker was arrested on Pike Street by Deputy Sheriff Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the County Jail on 04 Jan 04 at 6:45 pm.
