On 23 Dec 03 Juan Palacios, age 32, Parkway Town House 1C, New Matamoras, reported an unidentified suspect(s) entered an unlocked rear door and removed a metal box containing several pocketknives. This case remains under investigation (1291).

On 23 Dec 03 the owner of the Corner Store, 120 Fifth Street, Beverly, reported an unidentified suspect(s) entered the store office and removed $378 from the locked safe. Employees left the office around 12:20 am on 23 Dec and upon their return at 5:30 am the same morning they discovered money missing from the safe. This case remains under investigation (107).

On 23 Dec 03 an employee of Par Mar #11, PO Box 727 State Route 60, Beverly, reported the driver of a red Ford four-door vehicle drove off without paying for $9.25 in unleaded gas. This case remains under investigation (490).

On 23 Dec 03 an employee of Hilltop Auto Wrecking, 975 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, reported between 5 pm on 22 Dec and 7:30 am on 23 Dec an unidentified suspect(s) cut through a chain link fence to gain entry to the property then entered an unlocked Ford Contour and drove it around the lot. No property was damaged and no items were found to be missing. This case remains under investigation (490).

On 23 Dec 03 Scott Cisler, age 40, 3390 State Route 260, New Matamoras, reported his ex-live in girlfriend altered and forged a check he wrote in September of this year. This case remains under investigation (1291).

On 23 Dec 03 Raymond L. Wriston Jr., age 32, 16131 State Route 821, reported during an argument with his 14 year old stepdaughter over her prohibited use of the phone, the stepdaughter became enraged and slapped and kicked Mr. Wriston numerous times. As a result of this incident Deputy Sheriff Willson filed an affidavit requesting a summons for the juvenile for being delinquent.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Joshua A. Campbell, age 20, 3635 Bear Creek Road, Lowell, for misdemeanor charges of theft and assault. Campbell turned himself in at Marietta Municipal Court and was taken into custody by Deputy Jenkins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Dec 03 at 9:05 am.

David S. Wiggers, age 42, 714 Circle Drive, Belpre, for a misdemeanor charge of a violation of probation. Wiggers was arrested by probation officer Hamilton of the Marietta Probation Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Dec 03 at 10:50 am.

Nathaniel T. Patterson, age 26, 270 Ridgewood Court Apt. D, Marietta, on a felony warrant of being a fugitive from justice. Patterson was arrested at Ridgewood Court by Deputy Sheriff Sears of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Dec 03 at 3:59 pm.

Terry L. Nutter, age 47, 207 Virginia Street, Marietta, for failure to appear at a hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Nutter was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Dec 03 at 10:17 pm.
