On 14 Dec 03 Deputy Sheriffs Evans and Kapple investigated a single vehicle crash on State Route 821 three tenths of a mile south of Arends Ridge Road. Linda K. Sarior, age 57, 2609 Lincoln Avenue, Parkersburg, WV, was northbound on State Route 821 with a single passenger when, in the course of negotiating a turn, lost control of her 2000 Chrysler Concord causing it to slide off the right side of the road. As a result, the passenger side of her vehicle collided with a guardrail. No injuries were reported and the car suffered non-functional damage.

On 14 Dec 03 Deputy Sheriff Malone investigated a single vehicle crash on State Route 7 one tenth of a mile south of County Road 10. Eric T. Meyer, age 28, Route 1 Box 108, St Marys, WV, was northbound on State Route 7 when he lost control of his Dodge Dakota, crossed the median into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a guardrail just south of County Road 10. Mr. Meyer sustained no injuries; however his vehicle needed towed from the scene.

On 14 Dec 03 a Washington County resident reported being threatened by a relative over the phone. This case remains under investigation (296).

On 14 Dec 03 Shirley Duckworth, age 60, 2780 Caywood Road, Marietta, reported the theft of the license plate bearing Ohio registration number BZ43MV from her 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada.
The theft occurred between 1 Mar 03 and 12 Dec 03 while the vehicle was parked in a garage at 2755 Caywood Road. This case remains under investigation (1203).

On 14 Dec 03 Daniel R. Batten, age 52, 1320 Goose Run Road, Marietta, reported between 11 and 13 Dec several unknown individuals forcibly entered his home, caused damage to the interior and stole $100 in cash. This case remains under investigation (501).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

April D. Goodwin, age 22, 905 Mission Drive, Parkersburg, for misdemeanor charges of no operator’s license, no seatbelt, failure to obey a traffic control device and having fictitious plates. Goodwin was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Dec 03 at 11:01 am.
