On 12 Dec 03 while on patrol southbound near the 200 block of Pike Street, Marietta, Deputy Sheriffs Gherke and Norman observed a green Geo Metro. A routine check of the registration informed the Deputies the vehicle was reported stolen from an Ashworth, OH resident. Upon making contact, the driver gave Deputies a social security number and date of birth that could not be verified. Further investigation concluded the driver of the vehicle, Linda Bushnell, age 53, 1013 Thirteenth Street, Canton, OH, also used several different names, dates of birth and social security numbers at various locations in Ohio and Kentucky. Ms. Bushnell was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 12 Dec 03 Deputy Sheriffs Gherke and Norman were dispatched to 1012 Green Hill Road, Marietta, regarding a domestic dispute. Shirley Mollohan, age 37, stated her husband Charles, age 33, grabbed her by the arms and made threats toward her causing her to be in fear for her safety. Mr. Mollohan was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 12 Dec 03 the parent of a 12 year old Marietta girl reported an unknown male sent her daughter obscene material during an internet chat. This case remains under investigation (1071).

On 12 Dec 03 Deputy Sheriff Brown was dispatched to the Marietta Shrine Club in reference to a fight. After speaking with both parties, Deputy Brown issued citations to Edward Toledo, age 23, 106 Alta Street, Marietta, and Rodger Becker, age 50, 803 ½ Washington Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct for fighting.

On 12 Dec 03 Deputy Sheriffs Jenkins and Hiatt were dispatched to 107 Brittigan Circle, Marietta, after Chip Weisenheisel, age 22, 725 Seventh Street, Marietta, reported being assaulted by Joshua Campbell, age 20, Route 1 Box 22T, Lowell. Mr. Weisenheisel sustained minor injuries and was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment. Mr. Campbell was transported to the Washington County Jail charged with assault for knowingly causing physical harm to another, a violation of section 2903.13(A) of the Ohio Revised Code.

On 12 Dec 03 Angela F. Pierce, age 27, PO Box 655 Apt. 1 Dye Street, Newport, reported her husband Shawn Pierce, age 25, assaulted her after an argument over family finances. After the dispute Mrs. Pierce attempted to exit to the living room and Mr. Pierce cornered her in a chair and punched her three times. Soon thereafter Mrs. Pierce left with her two small children for a relative’s home. From eyewitness accounts and statements of Mr. Pierce Deputies surmised that subsequent to Mrs. Pierce’s departure, Mr. Pierce fired two shotgun rounds inside the home. Mr. Pierce was arrested for domestic violence, possession of firearms while intoxicated and discharging a firearm into a residence and transported to the Washington County Jail (232) (698) (1091) (1071).

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Zachary C. Boothby, age 23, 1325 Anderson Road, Fleming, OH, for contempt for failing to appear for a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $969.90. Boothby was previously charged with disorderly conduct by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Michelle A. Cline, age 27, 1318 Broadway Avenue, Parkersburg, WV, for contempt for failing to appear for a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $124.00. Cline was previously charged with disorderly conduct by the Belpre City Police Department.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Joshua A. Campbell, age 20, 3635 Bear Creek Road, Lowell, for a misdemeanor charge of assault. Campbell was arrested in Devola by Deputy Sheriff Jenkins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Dec 03 at 3:30 am.

Robert L. Boyles Jr., age 19, 42 Meadowview Circle, Parkersburg, WV, for a misdemeanor charge for failing to appear at a court hearing on unpaid fines. Boyles was arrested at Speedway in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff Evans of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Dec 03 at 12:30 pm.

Michael D. Terry, age 27, 1009 McQueen Street, Charleston, WV, for a felony charge of being a fugitive from justice. Terry was arrested on Gilman Avenue in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Johnson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Dec 03 at 2:25 pm.

Bridget D. King, age 20, 1106 Lakeview Drive, Parkersburg, WV, for a felony charge of being a fugitive from justice. King was arrested on Gilman Avenue in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Wells of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Dec 03 at 2:30 pm.

Audie L. Meaux, age 46, 106 Buells Circle, Marietta, for a felony charge of non-support of dependants. Meaux was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Sears of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Dec 03 at 2:30 pm.

Charles E. Mollohan, age 33, 1012 Greenhill Road, Marietta for a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence. Mollohan was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Dec 03 at 5:05 pm.

Linda K. Bushnell, age 53, PO Box 220, Marietta, for felony counts of being a fugitive from justice, receiving stolen property, theft and auto theft. Bushnell was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Dec 03 at 10:45 pm.
