On 9 Dec 03 Deputy Sheriffs Lt. Huffer and Sgt.
Hiatt were dispatched to the home of Augustine Brunoni Sr.,
age 47, Lot 8 Harris Trailer Park, Newport, after he reported
a fire in his home.
Smelling smoke, Mr. Brunoni entered the bedroom of his son Augustine
Jr., age 23, to find him extinguishing a fire he started on
his dresser. Further investigation by Sgt. Hiatt resulted in
the filing of an affidavit requesting a summons for Augustine
Jr. for arson, a violation of section 2903.03 of the Ohio Revised
Code.
On 9 Dec 03 the owner of Triple I Trucking, 113 Kentucky Avenue,
Marietta, reported an unknown suspect(s) broke the front and
side windows of four dump trucks. The damage occurred between
8 pm and 11 pm on 9 Dec while the vehicles were parked at the
company’s garage on State Route 60 in Lowell.
This case remains under investigation (1071).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Heather N. Gorham, age 20, 632 Warren Chapel
Road, Fleming, for a misdemeanor charge of no operator’s
license.
Gorham was arrested at Marietta Municipal Court by probation
officer Bosworth of the Marietta Probation Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 9 Dec 03 at 9:30 am.
Robert J. Brotton, Jr., age 36, 107 Jefferson
Drive, Caldwell, for a misdemeanor charge of a probation violation.
Brotton was picked up at the Noble County Jail by Deputy Sheriff
Underwood of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Dec 03 at 9:40
am.
Craig B. Martin, age 38, Noble Correctional Facility, Caldwell,
for a felony charge of illegal conveyance of weapons.
Martin was picked up at the Noble County Correctional Facility
in Caldwell by Deputy Sheriff Underwood of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 9 Dec 03 at 9:40 am.
Ricky L. Howell, age 44, 630 Oak Street Lot 165, Mansfield,
OH, for a felony charge of contempt of a court order.
Howell was picked up at the Mansfield Police Department by
Deputy Sheriff Underwood of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Dec 03
at 6:43 pm.
