On 7 Dec 03 the Sheriff’s Office received 23 harassing phone calls on the 911 emergency line from an individual who refused to identify themselves and repeatedly cursed at operators. This case remains under investigation (945).

On 7 Dec 03 Michael Parmiter, age 36, 460 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, reported his ex-girlfriend entered his residence without permission around 1:30 am on 7 Dec and he had to forcibly remove her. This incident remains under investigation (698).

On 7 Dec 03 Jennifer L. Farnsworth, age 37, 18 Charles Street, Newport, reported an unknown male attempted to break into her home around 3:40 am on 7 Dec. This incident remains under investigation (1291).

On 7 Dec 03 Justin Minney, age 19, PO Box 25, Derwent, OH, reported after leaving his broken down truck near mile marker 2 on 5 Dec, he returned on 7 Dec to find a bullet hole in the tailgate, through the back glass and driver’s seat. A .20 gauge shotgun shell casing was taken into evidence and is being examined for latent fingerprints. This case remains under investigation (602).

On 7 Dec 03 Anna K. Halfhill, age 21, 1351 Whipple Run Road, Whipple, reported between 1 am and 6 am on 7 Dec an unknown suspect(s) slit a tire and spray painted profanity on her 1996 Toyota truck. This case remains under investigation (296).

On 7 Dec 03 Jerry Owens, age 38, 1354 Rubrake Road, reported an unknown suspect(s) damaged his mailbox between 8 pm and 8:30 pm on 7 Dec 03. This case remains under investigation (586).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Anthony E. Boswell, age 23, 407 Florence Street, Belpre, for misdemeanor charges of failure to appear at a hearing on unpaid fines and disorderly conduct by intoxication. Boswell was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Combs of the Belpre Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Dec 03 at 3:20 pm.

Jesus A. Alcaraz, age 30, 404 Phillips Street, Marietta, for misdemeanor charges of second offense OMVI and no operator’s license. Alcaraz was arrested on Washington Boulevard in Belpre by Patrolman Morris of the Belpre Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Dec 03 at 4:00 am.

Bryan L. Boston, age 22, 7 Fairmont Avenue, Phillipi, WV, for a misdemeanor charge of assault. Boston turned himself in to Deputy Sheriff Underwood of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Dec 03 at 6:30 am.
