On 4 Dec 03 the Sheriff’s Office received information regarding the whereabouts of a fugitive from justice from the State of West Virginia. Deputy Sheriff Sears arrested Robert O. Shepard, age 45, 103 Fourth Street, Belpre, at Box 480 State Route 555, Little Hocking, on a felony charge stemming from failure to pay child support. Mr. Shepard was arraigned in Marietta Municipal Court and waived extradition to West Virginia.

On 4 Dec 03 Dallas Miller, age 45, 850 Ridgewood Boulevard, Belpre, reported an acquaintance has been harassing him. The aforementioned acquaintance was also allegedly seen in a truck belonging to Mr. Miller while Mr. Miller was deer hunting. This case remains under investigation (500) (597).

The Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Richard D. Bryan, age 45, 5717 West Hastings Archway, Virginia Beach, VA, for Contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $128.00.

Terry L. Hupp, age 50, 133 Jefferson Street, Dexter City, OH, for a
Probation Violation out of Marietta Municipal Court, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for a scheduled appointment with his probation officer. Hupp was previously charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle while under the Influence by the Marietta City Police Department.

Jeffrey A. Short, age 39, 216 State Route 292 East, Belfry, KY, for a Probation Violation out of Marietta Municipal Court, for failing to appear for a scheduled appointment. Short was previously charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle while under the Influence by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Derek C. Henry, age 33, 3951 Highland Avenue, Shadyshide, OH, for a Probation Violation out of Marietta Municipal Court for failing to appear for a scheduled appointment. Henry was previously charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle while under the Influence by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Brandon Hoffert, age 19, Route 1 Box 151CC, Waterford, OH, for a Probation Violation out of Marietta Municipal Court for failing to appear for a scheduled probation hearing. Hoffert was previously charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle while under the Influence by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Emmett R. Ferguson, age 26, 1755 Old Tusculum Road, Greenville, TN, for a Probation Violation out of Marietta Municipal Court for failing to show proof of obtaining a valid Operator’s License or serve 3 days jail. Ferguson was previously charged with No Operator’s License by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Scott A. Wendelken, age 45, 10440 Veto Road, Belpre OH, for Contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $95.00. Wendelken was previously charged with a dog violation by the Washington County Dog Warden.

Thomas A Crow, age 26, 405 Marshall Street, McMechen WV, for Contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $120.00.

John R. Buckley, age 29, 813 West 4 th Street, Williamstown WV, for Contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $125.00.

Michael T. Blumer, age 51, 942 Merton Avenue, Akron OH, for Contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $254.00. Blumer was previously charged with Disorderly Conduct by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Roger D. Miller, age 29, 830 Tadpole Run Road, Belpre OH, for Contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $1,762.00. Miller was previously charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle while under the Influence by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Eric T. Kidder, age 32, Route 1 Box 298 Belpre, OH, for Contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $60.00.

Timothy W. Hedrick, age 39, 170 West 3 rd Street, Apartment 1, Mansfield, OH, for Contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $178.00.

Robert Wayne Moore, age 51, State Route 266, Stockport OH, for Contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $1,548.00.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Noah Mills Jr., age 51, 4209 Tacoma Avenue, Lorain, OH, for misdemeanor counts of OMVI and failure to yield right of way. Mills was arrested on Kohl Road by Deputy Jenkins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Dec 03 at 12:30 am.

Stephanie L. Sklenar, age 36, 1020 North Street, Caldwell, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Deputy Sheriff Sears picked up Ms. Sklenar at the Noble County Jail and transported her to the Washington County Jail where she was processed in on 4 Dec 03 at 11:30 am.

Robert O. Shepard, age 45, PO Box 480 State Route 555, Little Hocking, on a felony charge of being a fugitive from justice. Deputy Sheriff Sears arrested Mr. Shepard at the aforementioned address and transported him to the Washington County Jail where he was processed in on 4 Dec 03 at 1:07 pm.
