On 3 Dec 03 Deputy Sheriff Lt. Huffer investigated
a deer-vehicle accident at mile marker 19 on State Route 550.
Jeanette F. Parks, age 45, 4020 Anderson Road, Fleming, was
westbound on SR 550 when two deer entered the roadway. Driving
her Chevy Blazer, she was able to avoid the first deer but
struck
the second causing minor damage to the front of the vehicle.
No injuries reported.
On 3 Dec 03 a student at Bartlett Elementary School,
PO Box 26 State Route 550, Bartlett, reported another 11 year
old male student put him in fear for his safety by raising scissors
above his head in a stabbing posture then shoving him to the
ground on 26 Nov 03.
As a result of an investigation Deputy Sheriff Kapple filed
an affidavit requesting a summons for the juvenile for being
delinquent.
On 3 Dec 03 while on patrol southbound on State Route 821 near
milepost 7, Deputy Sheriff Jenkins stopped a white Dodge SUV
driven by Noah Mills Jr, age 51, 4209 Tacoma Avenue, Lorain,
OH, for failure to yield. Upon making contact with the driver
Deputy Jenkins noticed an odor of alcohol.
After failing standardized field sobriety tests Mr. Mills was
arrested for DUI and transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 3 Dec 03 Christina R. Garland, age 37, 20040 State Route
676, reported while she was away from home between 5 and 8 pm
on 2 Dec an unknown person(s) entered her unlocked home and
stole three bottles of prescription medication containing 100
pills of methadone, 100 pills of baclofen and 56 pills of diazepam.
This case remains under investigation (232).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Kenneth L. Thompson, age 31, Route 1 Box 109B,
Belpre, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor.
Thompson was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sears of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 3 Dec 03 at 10:55 am.
Troy A. Erb, age 28, 740 Whipple Eight, Lowell, for a felony
charge of breaking and entering.
Erb was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sears of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 3 Dec 03 at 12:30 pm.
Thomas L. Shank, age 43, 389 Cedar Ridge Road, Lowell, for two
counts of probation violation and domestic violence, all misdemeanors.
Shank was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sears of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 3 Dec 03 at 2:00 pm.
Eric D. Hardie, age 24, 761 Buckeye Street, Marietta, for a
misdemeanor count of failure to appear on fines and felony
counts
of attempted rape, robbery and two counts of rape.
Hardie was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail in
Greenwood, WV by Deputy O’Brien of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Dec
03 at 3:00 pm.
David C. Satterfield, age 36, Route 2 Box 24C, Pennsboro, WV,
for two felony counts of probation violation.
Satterfield was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail
in Greenwood, WV by Deputy O’Brien of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 3 Dec 03 at 3:00 pm.
Ronald L. Workman, age 55, PO Box 135, Cedar Grove, WV, for
misdemeanor counts of OMVI, breach of recognizance, no operator’s
license, speeding and no seat belt. Workman was picked up at
the South Central Regional Jail in Charleston, WV by Deputy
O’Brien of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Dec 03 at
3:00 pm.
Sharon L. Stafford, age 41, 702 Sixth Street, Marietta, for
a misdemeanor count of passing bad checks.
Stafford was arrested at her residence by the Marietta Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
3 Dec 03 at 5:01 pm.
Todd R. Moore, age 24, 522 Fifth Street, Marietta, for a misdemeanor
count of possession of drug abuse instruments.
Moore was arrested at Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman
Huffman of the Marietta Police Department and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 3 Dec 03 at 5:02 pm.
