On 24 Nov 03 while en route to the Sheriff’s impound lot Deputy Sheriff Farrell observed an individual climbing the fence of the lot. The suspect fled on foot and a canvas of the area failed to locate the suspect. However, Deputies spoke with a witness who identified the suspect from a photo lineup. Subsequent to the investigation an affidavit was filed requesting a summons for Daniel P. Edwards, age 33, 16920 State Route 550, Marietta, for criminal trespassing, a violation of section 2911.21 of the Ohio Revised Code (296).

On 24 Nov 03 Edward D. Santee, age 66, 102 Chalet Lane, Marietta, requested the assistance of the Sheriff’s Office after he noticed damage to the door knob of Twin Rivers Baptist Church, 110 Dav Road, Marietta. An investigation concluded that no items were missing. Anyone with information concerning this incident is requested to call the Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office will continue to patrol the area for suspicious activity (1091).

On 24 Nov 03 Deputy Sheriffs Hiatt and Mankins were dispatched to the home of Lorena Kimbrough, age 67, and Mark Dunn, age 51, 65 Shady Hill Road, Marietta, concerning a domestic dispute. An investigation concluded that during a verbal altercation Ms. Kimbrough used a three foot section of a 2” by 2” piece of wood to strike Mr. Dunn, breaking his glasses. In violation of section 2919.25A of the Ohio Revised Code, Ms. Kimbrough was charged with domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

The Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Sharon Alkire, age 32, 9675 Jewell Hollow Road, Stewart, OH, for Contempt of a Court Order for failing to appear for a debtors exam on 26 Sep 03.

Vickie L. Lauderman, age 38, 207 Second Street, Williamstown, WV, for Contempt of a Court Order for failing to appear for a debtors exam on 26 Sep 03.

Judith C. Snodgrass, age 57, Route 8 Box 305B, Marietta, OH, for Contempt of a Court Order for failing to appear for a debtor’s exam on 26 Sep 03.

Kenneth L. Thompson, age 31, Route 1 Box 109, Belpre, OH, for Contempt of a Court Order for failing to appear for a debtors exam on 26 Sep 03.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Lorena J. Kimbrough, age 67, 65 Shady Hill Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Kimbrough was arrested on Seventh Street in Marietta by Deputy Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Nov 03 at 9:50 am.

Melissa S. Edgell, age 32, 16920 State Route 550, Marietta, for driving under suspension, a misdemeanor. Edgell was arrested on State Route 60 by Deputy Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Nov 03 at 4:10 pm.
