On 19 Nov 03 an employee of Martin’s B &
J Carryout, PO Box 297 State Route 7, Newport, reported to the
Sheriff’s Office that a blue Oldsmobile four door drove
off without paying for $10.01 in gas. This case remains under
investigation (1020) (490).
On 19 Nov 03 Sheriff’s Deputy Eddy was dispatched to the
home of John O’Brien, age 48, 96 Main Street, Lower Salem,
after James Corbitt III, age 26, 1424 Barth Run Road, Belpre,
assaulted William O’Brien and left a threatening message
on John O’Brien’s answering machine.
After further investigation Deputy Eddy filed an affidavit
requesting a summons for Mr. Corbitt for menacing and phone
harassment,
violations of sections 2903.22 and 2917.21(B) of the Ohio Revised
Code.
On 19 Nov 03 the Sheriff’s Office began investigating
the alleged sexual assault of a young Washington County boy
(1190).
On 19 Nov 03 Thomas R. Welch, age 35, 642 Wildwood Lake Road,
Coolville, reported to the Sheriff’s Office that between
11 am on 16 Nov and 11:30 am on 19 Nov an unknown person(s)
broke into his home and took 5 boxes of Remington 12 gauge deer
slugs and three articles of hunting clothing. This case remains
under investigation (1184).
On 19 Nov 03 Michael P. Devaughn, age 48, 125 Indian Run Road,
Marietta, reported to the Sheriff’s Office that during
the evening of 19 Nov an acquaintance allegedly stole $200 in
cash from a briefcase locked inside his truck. This case remains
under investigation (792).
On 19 Nov 03 Jason W. Wright, age 25, 3675 Blue Knob Road, Marietta,
reported to the Sheriff’s Office that between 12 am and
7 am on 19 Nov an unknown person(s) took his Yamaha YZ 250 dirt
bike from his residence. This case remains under investigation
(1184).
On Wednesday 19
Nov 03 the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:
Warren C. Blevins, age 63, 900 Staley Street Apartment
A10, Marion, VA, for a Probation Violation for failing to complete
a court ordered 72 hour Certified Driver’s Intervention
Program,
for failing to make required monthly payments and for failing
to keep in contact with his probation officer.
Blevins was previously charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle
while under the Influence by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Dwight K. Masters Jr., age 35, Edgelawn Campgrounds Lot 10,
Parkersburg, WV, for a Probation Violation for failing to complete
a court ordered 72 hour Driver’s Intervention Program,
for failing to keep in contact with his probation officer and
for failing to appear to serve 3 days at the Washington County
Jail on 7 Nov 03.
Masters was previously charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle
while under the Influence by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Tina D. Frye, age 20, 715 Middle Street Belpre, OH, for Hit
Skip/Leaving the Scene. Frye was charged by the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office (597).
Patricia M. Thornley, age 40, 509 52 nd Street, Vienna, WV,
for a Probation Violation for failing to appear at the Washington
County Jail on 8 Nov 03 to serve 3 days in jail.
Thornley was previously charged with No Operator’s License
by the Marietta Municipal Court Probation Department.
Patricia M. Thornley, age 40, 509 52 nd Street Vienna, WV, for
Falsification. Thornley was charged by the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office (1071).
Mark Stanford, age 37, address unknown, for Failure to Appear
on a pending indictment for Passing Bad Checks, Forgery and
Theft. Stanford was charged by the Washington County Common
Pleas Court.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Randall L. Stewart, age 45, Marietta, a fugitive from justice,
a felony. Stewart was arrested in Belpre by Officer Williams
of the Belpre Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 19 Nov 03 at 2:45 pm.
Carla M. O’Neill, age 33, 104 Wooster Street, Marietta,
a fugitive from justice and for probation violation, both felonies.
O’Neill was arrested by Probation Officer Gilchrist of
the Adult Parole Authority at her residence and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 19 Nov 03 at 3:05 pm.
James G. Janes Sr., age 52, 201 Fifth Street, Lowell, for felony
OMVI and misdemeanor charges of no operator’s license,
failure to control and having fictitious plates.
Janes was arrested in Newport by Trooper Seabolt of the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Nov 03 at 12:40 am.
Kimberly A. Weckbacher, age 41, PO Box 924, Beverly for disorderly
conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor.
Weckbacher was arrested in Beverly by Officer Oliver of the
Beverly Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Nov 03 at 2:00
am.
