On 17 Nov 03 Sheriff’s Deputy Simmons filed an affidavit requesting a summons for James D. Ramsey, age 40, 112 Hillsboro Drive, Marietta, for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a violation of section 2913.03(A) of the Ohio Revised Code.

On 17 Nov 03 Sheriff’s Deputy Casto responded to a report of a number of junk vehicles on a property in Coal Run.
An investigation concluded the claim was unfounded.

On 17 Nov 03 David J. Meredith, age 54, 1665 Glendale Road, Marietta, reported to the Sheriff’s Office that an unknown person(s) dumped trash on his driveway between 13 and 15 Nov 03.
This case remains under investigation (669).

On 17 Nov 03 an employee of Gudenkauf Corporation, 2679 McKinley Avenue, Columbus, reported to the Sheriff’s Office that between 3 pm on 14 Nov and 4 pm on 17 Nov an unknown person(s) broke the windshield and driver side window of a company truck parked on County Road 22 in Newport. An investigation yielded no evidence and no suspects (1071).

On 17 Nov 03 Jacqueline A. Tudor, age 20, 21260 State Route 676 Apt 5, Marietta, reported to the Sheriff’s Office that an acquaintance entered her residence and took several items. An investigation concluded that Ms. Tudor’s estranged husband and a friend took the items (1091).

On 17 Nov 03 Sheriff’s Deputy Hiatt responded to a report that a Lowell woman attempted suicide. The victim was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment and evaluation.

On 17 Nov 03 James H. Wilson, age 52, 2720 Beach Road, Belpre, reported to the Sheriff’s Office that an acquaintance allegedly threw roofing nails on his driveway. This incident remains under investigation (792).

On 17 Nov 03 an employee of Par Mar #14, Little Hocking, reported to the Sheriff’s Office that she observed a 19 year old male take a hot dog and a bottle of Mountain Dew, a value of $2.38, without paying. Brett M. Parker, age 19, 46686 Guthrie Road, Coolville, was arrested for theft (792).

On 17 Nov 03 Robert Chapman Jr., age 51, 1935 Congress Road, Belpre, reported to the Sheriff’s Office that an unknown suspect(s) shot the vinyl siding of his home with paintballs causing damage. This incident remains under investigation (232).

On 17 Nov 03 Christopher W. Hall, age 27, 115 Robson Road, reported to the Sheriff’s Office that between 11 Nov and 13 Nov an unknown person (s) entered his home and removed a Rolex and a Seiko watch, a gold chain and a container of loose change, a total value of approximately $4,000. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 17 Nov 03 an employee of Hendershot’s Marathon, 498 Pike Street, Marietta, reported to the Sheriff’s Office that the business received a bad check in the amount of $29.50 on 14 Sep 03. This case remains under investigation (8411).

On 17 Nov 03 David J. Meredith, age 54, 1665 Glendale Road, Marietta, reported to the Sheriff’s Office that an unknown person(s) dumped trash on his driveway between 13 and 15 Nov 03. This case remains under investigation (669).

The Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Keith E. Davis, age 50, last known address of 825 County House Lane, Marietta, OH, for Failure to Notify Sheriff’s Office of Residence. Davis was charged by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Kevin Houck, age unknown, address unknown, for Community Control Violation out of Common Pleas Court. Houck was previously convicted of Burglary out of Common Pleas Court.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Troy Preston Lowe, age 34, 1224 Lancaster Street Marietta, OH, for Domestic Violence. Lowe was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the County Jail on November 17, 2003 at 12:30 AM (602).

Michael Todd Stanley, age 34, 1311 Roselawn Avenue Belpre, OH, for felony Failure to Comply with an Order or Signal of an Officer, and Misdemeanor charges of Driving Under Suspension, Fictitious Registration, and Reckless Operation. Stanley was arrested by the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the County Jail on November 17, 2003 at 2:30 AM.

Patrick D. Worstell, age 19, 29675 State Route 7, Marietta, for breaking and entering, a felony. Worstell was arrested by Deputy Alkire of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Nov 03 at 12:57 pm.
