On 11 Nov 03 an employee of Greenleaf Landscaping, 414 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, reported to the Sheriff’s Office that between 6 pm on 10 Nov and 7 am on 11 Nov an unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered the business and removed a cash box containing $200 and toolbox containing assorted tools. This incident remains under investigation (1184).

On 11 Nov 03 Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report that a Cutler woman was going to commit suicide. The woman was located in a nearby wooded area and transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital for evaluation (1183).

On 11 Nov 03 Sheriff’s Deputy Underwood filed an affidavit requesting a summons for Fred C. Miller, age 43, 4746 Federal Road, Coolville, for disorderly conduct in accordance with ORC 2917.11 (A3) for insulting, taunting, or challenging another, under circumstances in which that conduct is likely to provoke a violent response. Deputy Underwood filed the affidavit subsequent to an incident that occurred on 4 Nov 03.

On 11 Nov 03 Sheriff’s Deputy Eddy filed an affidavit requesting a summons for Ryan Nichols, age 27, Route 1 Box 311A Tadpole Road, Belpre, for phone harassment. Deputy Eddy filed the affidavit subsequent to an incident that occurred on 6 Nov 03.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Thomas Matthew Shaffer, age 45, 817 Masonic Park Road Lot 9, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Shaffer was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Nov 03 at 1:30 am (1091).
