On 3 Nov 03 Krista Tilton, age 19, 1070 Big Run
Road, Beverly, reported to the Sheriff’s Office that on
31 Oct a person known to her choked and pushed her to the ground,
causing her to vomit. In another incident on 2 Nov the same
individual threatened Ms. Tilton during a phone conversation.
This case remains under investigation (597) (500).
On 3 Nov 03 Sheriff’s Deputy Underwood issued a citation
to Kristen M. Worrell, age 20, 5107 Black Road, Breckersville,
OH, for traveling 77 mph in a 55 mph zone. Ms. Worrell was stopped
while northbound on State Route 7 near milepost 11.
On 3 Nov 03 Donna K. Kennon, age 47, 500 Kennon Lane, Marietta,
reported to the Sheriff’s Office that on 27 Oct an unknown
suspect removed a box from her mailbox. Containing a 50 piece
construction set and a Spiderman swim set, the items were birthday
gifts for Ms. Kennon’s sons. If you see a suspicious person
wearing Spiderman goggles and fins while putting together a
construction set please notify the Sheriff’s Office. This
case remains under investigation (1183).
On 3 Nov 03 Sheriff’s Deputy Mankins was dispatched to
the vicinity of Gilman Avenue after the Sheriff’s Office
received a report that a vehicle struck a guardrail on County
Road 4. Deputy Mankins observed a car matching the general description
swerving left to center and subsequently initiated a traffic
stop. After failing field sobriety tests, the driver Carla M.
O’Neill, age 33, 104 Wooster Street, Marietta, was issued
citations for driving under suspension and driving left to center.
Ms. O’Neill was arrested for disorderly conduct and OMVI
and transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 3 Nov 03 an employee of Merchants Five Star, 18192 State
Route 7, Marietta, reported to the Sheriff’s Office that
sometime between 31 Oct and 3 Nov a suspect(s) entered the cab
and rummaged around in one truck and removed the Cobra CB radio
of another truck, damaging the dashboard. This case remains
under investigation (592).
On 3 Nov 03 an employee of Hensler’s Market, Route 1 Box
30420 State Route 7, Marietta, reported to the Sheriff’s
Office that sometime between 11:30 pm on 2 Nov and 8:45 am on
3 Nov a suspect(s) entered the store through a back door. The
following items were taken: a cash register containing rolled
and loose change, 3 or 4 men’s and women’s watches
and various boxes of candy. The total value of property lost
is approximately $1,075. This case remains under investigation
(592).
On 3 Nov 03 Tina J. Williams, age 42, 301 Green Street, Macksburg,
reported to the Sheriff’s Office that sometime between
5 pm on 2 Nov and 11:30 am on 3 Nov an unknown person(s) damaged
a post of her chain link fence. This case remains under investigation
(1184).
On 3 Nov 03 Robert L. Wise, age 39, PO Box 134, St. Marys, WV,
reported to the Sheriff’s Office that his estranged wife
forged one of his checks at B & J Carryout on State Route
7 in Newport. After an investigation the allegation was determined
to be unfounded (792).
On Monday 3 Nov 03 the
Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:
Brandon L. Hoffert, age 18, Route 1, Box 151-CC, Waterford,
OH, for Probation Violation, for failure to keep two appointments
at Washington County Recovery Alternatives (2 warrants).
Ronald L. Workman, age 55, Post Office Box 135, Cedar Grove,
WV, for OMVI, Driving Under Suspension, and No Seatbelt.

Franklin Delano Sunderman, age 70, 101 Bells
Run Road, Newport, OH, for Domestic Violence. Sunderman turned
himself in to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and
was processed into the County Jail on November 3, 2003 at 10:21
a.m.
James Thomas Collins, age 20, 728 Third Street, Marietta, OH,
for Probation Violation out of Marietta Municipal Court. Collins
was arrested by the Marietta Municipal Court Probation Department
and processed into the County Jail on November 3, 2003 at 4:24
p.m.
Kevin Lee Hardman, age 40, 109 Stonecrest Drive, Marietta, OH,
for Disorderly Conduct (Intoxication). Hardman was arrested
by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the County Jail on November 3, 2003 at 9:35 p.m.
David Allen Sayres, age 38, 206 Sheldon Avenue, Marietta, OH,
for Failure to Appear at a Court Ordered Hearing on Unpaid Fines.
Sayres was arrested by the Marietta Police Department and processed
into the County Jail on November 3, 2003 at 9:36 p.m.
Carla Marie O’Neill, age 33, 104 Wooster Street, Marietta,
OH, for OMVI 2nd, No OL/Court Suspension, Left of Center and
a Felony Probation Violation out of Washington County Common
Pleas Court. O’Neill was arrested by the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the County Jail on
November 3, 2003, 9:37 p.m.
